1. The ranking includes car models offered by official dealers in the markets of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway - European Economic Area (EEA).
2. The ranking includes car models with a maximum speed exceeding 100 km/h.
3. The ranking includes car models produced in quantities of at least 99 units worldwide.
4. The ranking includes European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway street-legal models only.
5. If your car is not in the ranking, it is because of one of the following reasons:
- It does not meet one or more of the conditions above.
- Production ceased more than 10 years ago.
- Has a negative prestige coefficient – this coefficient is the primary metric by which this ranking is performed. It is calculated using an algorithm that incorporates the average base price (in euros) of the model's most affordable version on the European Economic Area market (promotions, discounts, and other special offers are not taken into account for this metric), maximum power output, top speed, and 0–100 km/h acceleration time (the best values selected from all model versions, provided there is more than one), plus the month and year of production start for current models and the month and year of production end for discontinued models. Over time, this coefficient decreases, with the rate of decline differing between active and discontinued models. At a future point following the date of production termination for discontinued models, it becomes negative. This ranking includes only models with a positive prestige coefficient and a production end date no more than 10 years in the past, relative to the present moment.
